Minutes of Previous Meeting

Minutes of the meeting held 5 May 2026: TF proposed and AW seconded, and minutes were unanimously approved.

Play Park

Questions still remain about total amount earmarked for play park development.

Village Pub

PC reported that the owners of the pub have indicated that they will put the property on the market once vacant. PC would like to create steering group of 5–10 members to investigate feasibility of community buyout, and flagged potential future expense of £225+VAT/year for Plunkett UK membership. Other sources of information/help mentioned were Social Investment Scotland and South of Scotland Enterprise.

Treasurer’s Report

Payment from SBC for CC running costs has arrived.

  • Ayton Gardening Society have reminded us of their suggestion for CC to have a stall at the Show. We have previously voted against setting one up.
